JOHN REESON
Mariner of this parish; who died
on the 28th day of Feb'ry in the year of
our Lord 1829. In the 77th year of his age
THOUGH neptune seas, and dangerous waves,
HAVE toss'd me to and fro;
YET once again by GODS decree,
I habour here below.
WITH many of our fleet:
YET once again I must set sail,
OUR saviour Christ to meet.
DEAR wife for me do grieve no more
I am not lost; but gone before.
